Hello Australia!
Exploring Cairns and happy to be here. It is actually really nice to be able to converse a bit with people more than we were able to in Japan and Thailand. Let’s just say our Japanese and Thai language skills are limited : ) We have encountered only a handful of Americans so far on our travels. None in Japan, one couple in Koh Lanta and a family in Chiang Mai. That’s it. Even here in Australia so far, no Americans. But, loving hearing English so much at the moment, reading signs, labels, menus, directions, asking questions, all of it. Oh and ice, how I have missed ice!
We’re exploring for a few days, taking in the sights and then off to Fitzroy Island for the Great Barrier Reef exploration. Hopefully we’ll have some underwater pics to post—-Zach has been practicing in the pool with the GoPro.
