Happy Birthday to me!
Celebrating my 45th birthday exploring the islands of Thailand! We were picked up at our hotel about 8:50am and taken to another beach to board a boat for the day. Headed to Koh Rok and Koh Ha, three different snorkeling spots and lunch at the beach in the Koh Rok National Park. Truly an unbelievable day, the beauty of it is incredible. Returned to the hotel around 4:30pm, Thai massages on the beach, happy hour on the beach, dinner on the beach and cupcakes with happy birthday singing by family and the restaurant staff. So great, a super fun day. Perfect way to kick of 45!
P.S. No, I did not snorkel. I did however hop in the water at each of our spots. At one point I was dripping in sweat so badly that I found myself debating between overheating and vomiting or shark bite. Surprisingly I jumped off the boat—quickly. Zach on the other hand hopped right in as soon as our boat guide told him where to find the sharks. Dear lord. She said to me, “they are just baby sharks.” Um yes, maybe but a couple key points:
they can still bite
babies have a mama or papa nearby
I noticed she didn’t get in the water
