Exploring Edinburgh

Yesterday we did a city walking tour of Edinburgh (history tour) and it was fantastic! We had the best tour guide, Emilia. She was a tour guide gem. We had booked another tour for today, a Harry Potter tour, with another company but after yesterday with Emilia we cancelled and booked with her again. Fortunately she was leading a HP tour today. Another great 2 hour tour—the enthusiasm, energy and knowledge she brings to the tours is so great. If we lived here I think I would try to be her friend : ) Anyway, both tours were great and we had time on both days to do exploring on our own. Really loving this town. And, the weather is cooperating! Yesterday was beautiful, cold but no rain. This morning it rained but we did some homework and then hit the Museum of Scotland —-also really great—while Bill worked. Rain stopped and we explored the city and then met up with Bill at 2pm for the Harry Potter tour. I am not a fan, not that I am not a fan, just not into Harry Potter, but even I enjoyed the tour.

Our hotel is working out so well. In a great location and walkable to everything. Tomorrow we have tickets to the Edinburgh Castle and then plan to walk out to Arthur’s seat.
